ABOUT THE AMERICAN BULLY
Are you looking for a companion who is a Powerful Protector but still Loving and Easy-Going? There aren’t many dog breeds that fit this description but an American Bully. American Bullies are compact, muscular, and built like a tank. But don’t let their ferocious looks fool you, the XL American Bully is a Kind, Friendly, and Affectionate Dog. The American Bully is a newer breed and dates back to the 80’s and 90’s when dedicated breeders set out to produce the perfect family companion. The American Bully breed is a hybrid influenced by the American Pitbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bulldog, English Bulldog, and Olde English Bulldogge. In 2004, the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC) originated and recognized the American Bully Breed. In 2013, the United Kennel Club (UKC) also recognized the American Bully Breed.
The American Bully is divided into four classes: Pocket, Standard, Classic, and XL. classes are determined by the Height, Not The Weight. Camp Bully Kennels focuses on the XL class. XL males can grow up to 20″ – 23″ in height and XL females can grow up to 19″ – 22″ in height. The XL American Bully has a wide head with pronounced cheek muscles, short – medium length muzzle, Bulky/Compact Body, straight front legs with a wide “H” shaped chest, straight back, short coat, and ears that can be left natural or cropped.
The XL American Bully is a gentle giant and is great with children. They are extremely loyal, confident, calm, and adapt easily to new settings. They are easy to train and eager to please. If you are looking for a tough looking but loving companion, then the XL American Bully is for you!
